Analysis

We’ll discuss your goals & requirements for the site & for your expected audience.

Examine similar/competitor sites to see what works & what doesn’t.

Discuss hosting & domain names.

Discuss desired look of the site.

I’ll produce a project plan,  containing an overview of the project, a timeline with associated deliverables, and a list of items that I will need from you.

Design

Secure the domain name & hosting.

Plan out the architecture of the site, ie pages and structure.

Develop the look of the site – presenting you with mockups for review.  We will go through as many iterations of this as necessary to get the look you are after.

Site Build

Build the site on a test site.

Load the content as you provide it.

Setup web analytics for tracking traffic.

Optimize for search engine ranking.

Launch

As the project nears completion, I will be offering you an increasingly refined working site, active on a private server, for your review.

When the project is completed to your satisfaction, I will invoice you the remainder of the fees & after payment, we will take the site live.

After the site has been active, I will monitor search engine performance & traffic data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Pricing

After discussing your goals and requirements, I will submit a proposal to you with the project plan, documenting requirements, deliverables, and timeline.

I will invoice you for 50% of the price and upon receipt, work will begin.  The remainder is due when the project is complete and we are ready to take the site live.  I am flexible and will consider alternative pricing arrangements, if needed.
